Newbie seeking FT or HT training group(s) in the Flathead Valley of Montana

Hi Folks! I am new to the forum. My husband and I have enjoyed sharing our lives with Golden Retrievers since 1992. We are retired & reside in far Northwestern Montana near the Canadian border. We have a new pup on the way and we're interested in learning more about, and possibly participating in, FTs or HTs. We're wondering if there are any training groups in the greater Flathead Valley?

Suggestions/recommendations most sincerely welcome!

There are quite a number of groups in the Mission Valley. This is a big field trial area. No HT that I am aware of as of yet. I will allow others to respond too.

John Robinson on this forum is very successful with goldens and lives not far Kalispell or Big Fork, I forget. I would start there.

The Western Montana Retriever Club puts on both field trials and hunt tests. They have training and hunt test grounds in Missoula but hold their trials in the Mission Valley. As Breck mentioned, John Robinson should be able to help you with contacts.
