Someone on the HRC forum mentioned Paul Kartes was in an accident but that was the extent of the info. Anyone have any more info on this? He's a member here too. I hope he's ok.

Wanted to let those interested know that Paul is doing quite well after surgery. He's getting his sense of humor back, is asking for his favorite meals and probably getting cranky. So now we just wait for him to recoup some. Apparently the rumor mill is quite active as the news is hitting other lists and forums. I understand there are some things floating around about broken legs and other such rumors, but they are not true. Karri wanted to thank *everyone* for the most generous outpouring of support the dog community has shown them during this time. I think she and Paul are overwhelmed with the offers of help and friends who have come forward to show their support; however, they aren't quite up to taking calls and e-mails at this time so she asked me to pass along a most heartfelt thank you to everyone.

I'll let everyone know how things are progressing if there is anything to know, but for now, assume that no news is good news.

Thanks for the update. Paul spent some time down here in Texas last winter. We are glad to hear he is doing well after his surgery and wish him a speedy recovery. I spoke with Max Hamilton this weekend about him and we wish him a speedy recovery!

Just wanted to thank everybody for their kind words and prayers over the last week. The support from our community is just truely amazing. The amount of e-cards I got hourly just lifted my spirits up a great deal

I am home now and recovering. I needed major surgery since I cracked my skull and was leaking spinal fluid. My nose was severly broken and needed 20+ stiches to fix som cuts.

I will be brief about the accident. We were in a Gator, I was not diving, we went a total of 30 yards that day. I was at a hunt club looking at it to see if I wanted to join. It is only 10 minuted from my front door.

Thank you again.
