I think twice a year is fine in the FT game. I judged 3 times in four weeks this fall and it was not fun. BTW the 3rd was a emergency fill in.

My order of preference is AM, Saturday derby or Q, Friday Derby or Q then open last.

retirement abruptly ended with an urgent plea from a friend to whom I owed a favor sooooo.......... back in the saddle I guess, at least for now but no more 100 dog Opens....
I have not judged a 100 dog Open and I don't think I want to, either

Still working, so I try to limit it to two a year, but I seem to be a sucker for folks in a pinch and end up doing three a year. I haven't done one in a while, but I love the minor stakes, derby qual. The numbers are usually lower, they seem to be less stressful and it is fun watching those young, innocent flashy dogs. I like the all age stakes to. No matter what you judge, you sleep good after it's all over, it's very hard work.

Once or twice a year. Anything other than my home club is a long drive. I'm trying to set up consecutive weekends with a little break for training in between. M and I are maybe available to apprentice HRC finished in region 13 this year. JD

I have done 3, 2 in the same year which helped to invoke my self imposed retirement!

Fortunately in all 3 instances I had a competent cojudge who was easy to get along with.

I judge 4-5 HRC hunt tests in the Spring and 1-2 in the Fall. Often, I'll judge one day and run my dog one day.

No more than 2-3 HT's per year. Too busy to do more.
Steve you're way over worked for the pay! :)
See you the end of the month!

No, Ted, you don't want to. Don judged an Open with 119 dogs (I think it was that high). The weekend was a nightmare for him and his co-judge.
