Tony, I have a Dayton Commercial Fan and it has a 1/2hp sealed motor on it. I would guess it to be maybe a 30"fan. I think Grainger's or Northern tools sells fans like them. Mine only has one speed, it would be nice if it had one a little lower but It is mounted in our kennel and it is under the roof but still gets water blown in on it. That fan runs almost 24-7 from May to Oct.

Ya I like this one and it has a sealed motor. http://www.farmtek.com/farm/supplies/prod1;ft_cooling_fans-ft_portable_fans;pg105527.html Plus you and I both know how hot the summers are here in Texas. Im using a regular fan now and forget it outside sometimes when it actually does rain.
These are what I'm running over my runs. East to install and move a good amount of air. Most of the time I'm running them just to keep mosquitos off at night. Had them in operation about 2 years almost with no problems.

Tony, what would work best for you is a fan motor application for a commercial kitchen dishwasher hood or grease exhaust. Both use a sealed motor with heat sinks and are designed to withstand high temperatures. Grainger has a great selection of the Dayton brand fans. Check into Greenheck as well. PM me on the specifics of your kennel application and I might have a better suggestion for you.
