Appreciate the posts on heat related issues. Would like to know what folks are using to check temps....Ive looked on line and there are several options.....what best for active amateur trainer in the Texas heat....3 labs

I use a wireless remote thermometer that I found at Wallyworld, runs off of AAA batteries. The thermometer is in the back of the truck with the dogs, the readout is up front with me, I keep the readout on the rearview mirror with two sided tape. An easy glance up to check it while I am driving.

Thanks Mike, but I was referring to internal body temp.....I will check out the unit you described though

They make some very quick children thermometers run across the forehead with instantaneous
results. If you used it on the inside of ear, or underarm groin area and go for the rectal method if the instantaneous
shows for that kind of concern.
