I know someone is gonna get on to me for "not searchin" the topic but I did. My question is what is a good TICK only treatment for dogs. I have a great flea pill now and dont think I should use a flea and tick thing for her when shes on a flea one already. Hope I'm makin myself clear. ha. So, re-cap. Whats a good tick reppelant, not flea just tick? Thanks!

Almost anything that works for ticks is likely going to work on fleas as well. Are you using Comfortis?

My Vet said Comfortis will work for flea and ticks but they didn't "spend the money" to have it "certified with ticks" but the main ingredient is the one they use to protect cattle. Have a hard time understanding this and wading through what's what especially when it comes from the "Techs" not the "Certified Vet".

I use Frontline and think it works well. I've picked ticks of myself a lot and found none on my dog for what its worth.

i use comfortis on both my dogs.....i am sure it helps but it does NOT keep 100% of the ticks off. i have removed several off each dog at times. deep south regards
