I gave my dog every chance to succeed but she hasn't advanced so she came home today. Maybe I pulled the trigger too soon (she's 3.5 years old) but she never did much in derby and only made it to the second series of a Q this weekend. I may be biased but I think she's better than that, we can't justify keeping her in a training program any longer. Are we done No ! We will keep training and hope that she reaches her potential, it's been a long journey but my wife and I have enjoyed every minute of it . We will see what happens during the fall circuit, but I can tell you she loves laying on my feet right now.

We failed at The qual today in Gainesville, 2nd series blind . Boo kept going back on a right angle cast I gave her a come in whistle to get control again (I knew it was wrong) but got my point across. On a good note she was clean on the first series it was an excellent run and experience for me . More work to do now that it's cooling off here in Texas.

Just an update at the PARA event only 7 dogs called back to the water blind BOO is one of the 7 . I'm not able to be there so I won't find out anything more til later today.

That's why I'm lost I don't know anything about who or what dog is running . I can only say what I received in a text , I still wish the best for all the handlers and dogs still in the hunt.

We can only hope Tobias, she's changed since I pulled her from traing. I really feel she just needed to come home for a bit.

From Facebook Boo did not pass the 4th series , the only good news is she's finally making it to the 4th series most of last year she would lose it in the 2nd or 3rd . Have to keep at it .

That's very hard to do even with an all age dog. Q dogs in general are not advanced enough on heeling and here to attempt to accomplish that. Sam Milton had a dog named Fordland's Bored Out Ford that was very good at pulling off the flyer and getting the most difficult bird of the test first. But he was a special animal with I believe around 240 all age points.

Just as I was thinking that Boo was putting it together she failed at the second series of the Red River qualifying. More work to do!

That was the toughest Q I've ever seen. Some of the pros agreed.

No kidding! Good tough setup. Great bird placements. That land blind would test even some of the best of dogs.

Tougher than the open or am land blinds IMO.
The water blind was even tougher.
